My Daughter And Her Secret Lifestyle?

February 7th, 2010 admin Leave a comment Go to comments

I am a single mother with two kids..one 13 who is mentally retarted and who can not walk and needs my care 24/7 and the other is a 20 year old girl. One day I went in her room to go find something and on her dresser was 3 lortabs and some xanax bars. She told me that her friend gave her some for cramps,so I just blew it off..A few nights ago she came in the house with her eyes very red and sitting low..I asked her whats wrong she said she was “sleepy”. I don’t know what to do, I really want to talk to my daughter and ask does she need any help, but she will not open up to me at all…She is always gone, and when she returns home she always looks very tired, and her eyes are always red and very low. She will just come home eat everything in sight, take a shower and go to her room, and leave the next day for hours at a time. I decided that since she wouldn’t open up to me,I went through her phone and I read a txt she sent to someone about “U have any skittlez or benzos I can buy from ya?” what are skittlez and benzos, because I know it can’t be the candy.
And what should I do other friends of mine have said call the police, but I don’t think I can call the police on my own daughter, but I believe she needs help..I just don’t know what she is on?

“Benzos” are benzodiazepine, a psychoactive drug, and “skittlez” are another word for the drug ecstacy. If you’re not comfortable going to the police, get her to a substance abuse counselor immediately.

Skittlez are that from Robotussin cough medication and the generic equivalents. they are usually little red pills hence skittles. Go on Youtube and you can see vids of kids tripping out on it. It can be dangerous. They call it Robo Tripping
Benzos are benzodiazepine. They are Xanax, Lorazapam, Ativan, and others. They all do basically the same thing. Very addictive.

Skittles can either be coricidin or ecstasy.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coricidin
    Benzos:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzodiazep…

You talk to her when she comes home. She lives in your house, you still have some control.

Those are party drugs which in the drug world are considered “softcore” as opposed to opium or heroin. Skittlez and benzos are nicknames for Met, ICE, Ecstacy and other fancy party drugs you see teens and youths take in discos and clubs to get high. Very addictive and can be fatal if used too much or wrongly
You have a big problem there as your daughter may be a dealer and that is criminal. You should confront her about it and ask her to stop or else she might get into trouble sooner or later. If she is ON drugs AND a dealer, you have your hands full. Perhaps try to find out why she does what she do and try to understand her problems.
If all else fails, try to get others to help, like someone from a Drug rehab centre to counsel her.
If after everything soft is said and done and she does not change as she is an adult and difficult to change, then perhaps you need to turn her in sometime as she is doing herself more harm than good

First off, let me just say, your daughter goes hard. Harder than a lot of kids I know and I’m a college student. However, she isn’t completely gone. It sounds like it’s just a phase. When she grows up, and gets a job and stops partying she’ll definitely chill out with that stuff. Those are party drugs really, if addictions get bad then it can be quite tough on her, but it’s nothing like heroin or coke. As a teen, I can tell you that talking to me wouldn’t do any good. Honestly, I’ve wondered this myself, “what would I do if my kids did some of the stuff I do” because I truly don’t see how my mom could stop me or get me to stop. Sorry to tell you this, I’m sure it doesn’t sound pleasant, but at least most people that do those drugs don’t end up on the streets giving handjobs for crack.

well, you should take her to a therapy and then, you should call someone to take care of your 13 year old(wich i am very sorry) and follow your daughter, and also, check her messages once in a while. good luck and i hope it work. i am so sorry. talk to her and let her know that you are ”friends” not a mother. talk to her friends. and search all this mysterious word like the one you found. :(

im no drug expert, but she’s definitely taking them.
if you smell something weird off her clothes or recent ones (if you do the laundry) then she’s probably smoking something, but if she knows that you do the laundry then she may have been bright enough to not go for those types but oral drugs to make her feel drowsy or hyped up or something. sounds like xtc to me
